The battle of the best in the business. Well xiaomi has been doing this from a couple of years now but this is seriously Asus seriously they nailed it perfectly ,how it should have been for a brilliant mid range phone.
They tickedall the boxes a great camera nice processor stock Android that public likes and also they did well with the price.
That's why I decided that there should be a face off between these two phones.
Specifications comparison
Specification wise both of these phones are almost same they are having the same processor ,same design as well in same dimensions as well and the same camera layout as well like iPhone X.
And also camera wise there is no such big difference for a normal user.
But one big major factor that turns dice into zenfone max's favour that is it's stock Android with Android 8.1 whereas and this is a big factor as a lot of people don't tend to buy Note 5 pro because they don't like its custom user interface and with stock Android on zenfone Max Pro the problem is solved for them.
But no mid range phone can compete redmi note 5 and note 5 pro with their battery life as it's superb and non competable.
And now the factor that will enjoy your mind and even if you're sure that you're sure take your bike to buy redmi Note 5 and Note 5 Pro, you will think of changing your mind.

Zenfone Max pro starts with the price of 10999 for the 3GB plus 32 Gigabyte storage variant that means you can go for the zenfone max pro instead of Redmi note 5. And here's the catch the 4gb + 64 gb variant of redmi Note 5 Pro and now will cost you 14,999rs and the same variant of it will cost you only 12,999 rupees for the zenfone max pro and with both of those phones are almost same features with some up and down.
My opinion
If you're having a strict budget or you want stock Android on your phone then you can surely go with the Asus zenfone Max Pro M1, that's a mouth full man.
If you're that one cheeky person who wants to buy a better deal then go with Asus zenfone Pro but if you choose any one of these phones regardless of the budget you will not regret.
